Apple Peddler in Crescent City

Only ate breakfast here. It's a diner, not a lot of flash. The desserts were AWESOME. When we were here there was a blueberry cobbler which was delicious.

This place is absolutely horrible.. the Bayview next to it is a amazing motel so we figured it would be a good spot for breakfast. (Maybe for a couple) but for a family meal I would never recommend it. It's crowded they have like 4 tables to seat people. If you are a family of 7 your not welcome or they will seat you a crossed the parking lot from your family and make u decide who's gonna sit with what kids. It makes for a absolute horrible breakfast.I will never return here and will definitely enjoy breakfast somewhere else as I only ordered for my kids and am leaving. Good food at reasonable prices. Relatively comfortable and clean environment. Service has generally been friendly and helpful. When traveling we have used Apple Peddler mainly for breakfast. I think it is a good southern Oregon northern California regional chain restaurant. When in the area again, I'm sure we'll stop at an Apple Peddler.

Fish n chip were delicious! Service was great! The blackberry cobbler was yummy!

Had some amazing fish and chips. Fol l owed it with a sundae. Hearty and kept me going for the rest of the day.

This place is a complete rip off! I payed $6.99 for 4 very sad looking onion rings.I would avoid eating here and go right down the road to a better restaurant!!

Was never asked if I wanted a drink, no refills to the kids even when asked... I had to ask for silverware napkins ranch and onions when I ordered my steak sandwich with onions. Steak was suppose to be medium and was well done. Never was asked if our food good or why I didn’t touch my steak sandwich... no Togo boxes offered... only good was our server shana was nice..

Fish and chips were very good. Only bummer was that because others had ordered chicken ahead of us, it was going to be 30 minutes before we could get an order, so we got something else and didn't get to try their famous chicken. Waitress was awesome and friendly. It was my birthday and come to find out, it was her father's birthday too.

They were open late when nothing else was, but the food was sub-par and the waitstaff was very slow, preoccupied, or something.

The food is ok. We got the combo omelette and it was good, but since it was sitting outside, it got cold too fast to taste as good as it should.

Place is a cute local restaurant. I ordered the recommended fish and chips. It was good and nice portions. Hubby got the Taco omelet was good. Egg was a little overcooked but not bad. Hashbrowns were perfect. Would go back again.

Excellent place for dessert; probably everything!!Staff are wonderful! Very friendly!!! Highly recommend! Hometown feel.We came here for cobblers, after accidentally going to another, nameless, overpriced, "fancy" restaurant, at Best Western.

It's not bad.. EXCEPT, they seem to ways be out of items like steamed veggies and onion rings and the next morning. when we came back for breakfast, little stuff like pancake toppings, etc., weren't available.. Taste, prices and service, however...were A+!!

Ate breakfast at the Crescent City Apple Peddler this morning and was not impressed at all. I realize with the pandemic and closing of most places things are difficult, but it's no excuse for poor quality. I ordered a senior breakfast omelette with crisp bacon, and biscuit with a side of gravy. The omelette was room temperature, the cheese didn't even melt and the bacon was NOT crisp by any means. If you like flour paste you'll love the gravy! ($2.50 for a very small dish). The biscuit and coffee were the only things I enjoyed. I did have to ask for water and jam for my biscuit though. All in all, I would not recommend this place, I'll go to Denny's (never thought I'd say that) next time I'm in town.

Like eating at a day-old Denny's. Hardworking and personable staff, but they need to hire a chef and not just a cook. Someone who knows other ways to prepare food other than frying.My fried fish (which was actually supposed to be grilled) was soggy. If using blue cheese was a crime, you could not convict them based on their salad dressing. The baked potato was old, and the steak tough and tasteless. Vegetables consist of zucchini slices, which were fine.

Yikes. No one wearing masks, kids running everywhere, touching everything, no social distancing in the front area. Couldn’t even stay for a chance at a meal. :( No wonder infection rates are skyrocketing!!

Very good food and excellent atmosphere Located beside Ocean World. Msny different choices of food and they serve breakfast too.

So this was perhaps a bit harsh: We got seated and the menus quickly, but my first grievance was that it took too long to order (service -1 star). The food arrived quickly tough, with a little mix-up of brown vs. white gravy, which was promptly fixed. No issue there. But the salad was tasteless - a little sprinkle of olive oil would do wonders. The chicken was dry and tasteless, the veggies were tasteless, the mash and the gravy was OK (food -2 stars). The portion was large - which is good if you live there as you can bring leftovers home, but "bad" if you'r on the road. I was taught never to waste food. (I hope this was helpful.)

This is the most adorable diner in the whole city. Delicious food, amazing prices, excellent servers. The staff was warm and friendly and attentive.

9Jul2020: My family and I ordered food at about 625p after a lengthy wait we were told there were some technical difficulties and and it would be about 10 more min, awhile later we were told that there was still an issue but uts coming. Keep in mind its covid dining and there is limited seating so this place isnt packed. The waiter came back and said we were waiting on the kids bean and cheese burrito and the baked potatoe. After waiting 45 min we finally received our food.... the kids bean and cheese burrito looked as if the ran to the grocery store and slapped velveta sliced cheese on it, it was also spicy so my 5 year old couldn't eat it, the baked potatoe was still hard.

To go only. Limited hours. Good selection.

Slow service. But acceptable food.

Baked potatoe with the fish and chips were served with no butter or soar cream... and they ran out of cole slaw. No refund. Oh well. They were nice however when I said the kids came with only 1 piece of fish. Like local businesses but turns out this is franchise.

Came here specifically for blackberry cobbler and it did not disappoint! Super delicious and a great portion size!! Not only was the cobbler to die for, the service by the host and the waiter was very friendly. Our food came at a good time, the restaurant was clean and had a super cute, inviting design! If I ever get back to crescent city, I’ll be back!!

Fast and easy to go service. Food was hot and yummy.

Food not fresh. Couldn’t eat it. Service wasn’t attentive. Luckily management said to not worry about the bill. But not like we could eat it... hopefully they will learn. Sorry to leave this review, but I hope the communication between everyone there will improve. Good luck

Great little lunch spot. They've got tables setup outside for social distancing.Sandwiches were great and they still have super friendly staff doing their best with it all.

BEST FRIED CHICKEN I'VE EVER HAD!!! (That's saying something since I, previously, considered MY fried chicken to be the best....😜) Never disappointing! Low quality food for a high price. The mashed potatoes were fake, the side of corn was dumped straight from a can and my husband's chicken sandwich was about half the size of the bun.

We went here twice during a trip from Washington and I cannot possibly overstate how extremely happy we were with this restaurant! The staff was fantastic and really on top of our needs, very friendly and our drinks were refilled as soon as they started getting low. The food was amazing, very fresh and full of flavor, great portion sizes and the price can't be beat. Lots of great food options as well, plus dessert was awesome. We are very picky about restaurants, but the Apple Peddler exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The burger is not seasoned well and they gave me a kids meal instead of a regular meal. Better of with Burger King or in n out.

I would not recommend this restaurant unless or until they get their curbside/carryout service worked out. I understand things are different now with the pandemic, but if the only thing you offer is curbside service you should be able to do it well. We waited over an hour for our order. I had to ask one of the food runners about it and when it was brought out it was wrong. When we finally got the correct order it was apparent that it had been sitting around for awhile. The fries were soggy and the only thing warm was the tarter sauce. Shame. We were looking forward to some good fish and shrimp even if we had to eat it in our car.

I loved the fish & chips, the cod is cut fresh when ordered and dipped in batter. Yummy

This restaurant was close to our hotel so we could walk, a friend of mine who had been in the city 3 years ago recommended we check it out.There was no wait time, the restaurant was very cute and clean, we were seated right away and the waitress was very friendly oh, there was a large assortment of different types of food available from all day breakfast to sandwiches to burgers to dinner entrees and desserts.We ended up getting a regular burger that had bacon and cheese, with french fries, and a veggie burger with coleslaw on the side. It was good.

*sigh*I realize in these corona times things are more difficult.I shouldn't be critical but frankly I expected better food quality. The poor woman that had to take orders, take food to cars and make change was running her heart out.I ordered a veggie burger, no pickle with optional tomato lettuce and onion. French fries. They made veggie burger,, which was ok. No onion, with pickles dripping juice on the lettuce and sad frozen French fries. My mate ordered fish and chips with a baked potato with sour cream. She received one piece of fish instead of two, so they did bring out another. No sour cream for the potato. This appears to be locally owned but it is part of a franchise OH! DID I FORGET TO MENTION- It comes with a heaping pile of plastic and styrofoam?
